YuLisa Simmons

Office Support

YuLisa visited Waypoint Church for the first time around September 2024 with a yearning to be a part of church family that actively and outwardly show God’s love.

She was so ecstatic when not only the Associate Pastor, but also the Lead Pastor, made it their business to come greeting, welcoming, introducing themselves, showing love, and simply acknowledging her.

Fervent prayers for tranquility and fulfillment of God’s grace & mercy shown in her life has always been her desire.

YuLisa, who goes by ’YuL’ for short, became a regular attender of Waypoint thereafter and began to grow in God’s grace, mercy, and love.

Months later, around March 2026, YuL was prompted by The Holy Spirit to find a way to put her hands to the plow and serve at Waypoint Church. During this same time frame, The Holy Spirit prompted the Lead Pastor of Waypoint Church to contact YuL about an opportunity to serve at the church.

Later, YuL began volunteering in the church office; and soon thereafter the retirement of Laura Hubbert, who honorably served for 25 years; YuL was offered and accepted a permanent position working in the church office.

YuLisa has two children; a son, Jaden; and daughter, Jordyn, and all grew up in the Christian faith.

Jaden attends University of Michigan- Ann Arbor, majoring in UX Design (website & app development) and minoring in Entrepreneurship; while Jordyn attends Holly Area Schools, maintaining her academic honors and recognition, with a desire to study abroad, or to also attend University of Michigan- Ann Arbor if she remains in the U.S.

As much as YuL loves her two children, family & friend, her butterflies, roses, and the color blue; she genuinely loves to help people, and feels very blessed and thankful for her talents and gifts, and the opportunity to serve at the Waypoint Church.
