I began my role at Waypoint in January 2019. I am the Pastor of Disciple Making and Leader Development which means I encourage people to develop spiritual practices that will guide them in becoming like Jesus.
I also have the privilege of working with our group facilitators and ministry leaders – resourcing them as they develop skills to lead their groups and ministry teams well. I work especially closely with our Children’s Ministries Leadership Team.
A practical interpretation of our mission, for me, is “be with Jesus, become like Jesus, do what He did” (John Mark Comer). I’m learning what these statements look like as I practice the lifestyle of Jesus. I live out our mission by living my life as if Jesus was living it.
“My heart has heard You say, ‘Come and talk with Me’. And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming’.” – Psalm 27:8 NLT
I was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania but I was raised in Kossuth, Pennsylvania. I have had the wonderful opportunity to live in Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, and Michigan.
I graduated from Roberts Wesleyan University with a degree in Humanities/Christian Ministries. I attended Asbury Theological Seminary graduating with a Master of Arts in Religion. I am an ordained Elder in the Free Methodist Church. I come to Waypoint having served other churches in a variety of roles such as Staff Pastor, Lead Pastor, and Children’s Pastor.
I’m married to my husband, Dick. We have a son, Adam, who has brought to our family our daughter-in-law, Emily, and our granddaughter, Esther. I love spending time with family and friends. I thoroughly enjoy taking walks with my dog, Jessie. I find restoration for my soul by being in nature.
