Danette Meny
Danette Meny grew up in Clarkston and attended Waypoint with her family back when it was called Drayton Heights Free Methodist Church. After graduating from Michigan State University, she returned to Clarkston with her husband Chris to raise their family here. Chris and Danette have 3 children, Gavin, Andrew and Charlotte.
Danette has a degree in Environmental Geology, but has spent most of her time since graduation volunteering in the community and here at Waypoint. She currently serves as the Bible Study Director for Mom Squad – the fellowship group for moms that meets here at Waypoint on Tuesday mornings during the school year. She also enjoys mentoring at Renaissance High School. Over the years, Danette has served on the worship team, taught Sunday School, served as a Youth Leader, co-led International Missions trips, and served on both the church Leadership Team and as a Delegate.
Danette’s current role here at Waypoint is Worship Ministries Pastor. Waypoint is blessed to have an abundance of incredibly talented people. Danette’s role is to coordinate all of these talented people, the music, and any creative elements and then connect it all with the teaching pastor’s direction. She is also striving to create a closer community among our worship team participants.
