General Information

Reports To: Lead Pastor

Status: Part-Time

Office Hours: 9am to 2pm Monday through Thursday (with potential flexibility)

Location: On-site at the church office

Primary Responsibilities

Hospitality & Front Office Support
• Provide a warm, friendly, and welcoming experience for all who visit or contact the church.
• Support office hours as directed by Lead Pastor.
• Serve as a helpful point of contact, directing individuals to appropriate staff, ministries, or resources as needed.
• Assist in pointing people in need to the correct internal or external support resources.

Administration & Coordination
• Coordinate and maintain the church calendar, including events, meetings, and shared resources.
• Manage facility use, including room scheduling, requests, and coordination with ministry leaders.
• Provide administrative assistance to pastors, ministry leaders and volunteers.

Communication & Systems
• Create and manage communications such as bulletins, emails, reports, and other written materials.
• Maintain and utilize Planning Center for scheduling, communication, and coordination.
• Work with Microsoft Office tools for documentation and communication.
Operational Support
• Assist with purchasing supplies, food, and other items needed for ministry and events.
• Assist with preparation for worship services, meetings, and church events.

Necessary Skills & Qualifications
• Strong interpersonal and people skills with a hospitable, service-oriented attitude.
• Dependable, reliable, and able to follow through on responsibilities.
• High attention to detail and the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and schedules.
• Comfortable working with technology and software, including Microsoft Office, Canva, Planning Center.
• Ability to work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, and congregants.
• Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive information.

Preferred Characteristics
• Experience working in a church, nonprofit, or ministry setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Heart for service and supporting the mission of the church.
