Houston Area Trails

LONGLEAF TRACE is a hiking and biking trail that runs from Hattiesburg MS, to Prentis MS (32 miles) along an abandoned rail road that was converted and paved. It includes all of the Stations along the way (parking and trail entrances) and includes some of the mile markers along the way.

LONE STAR HIKING TRAIL is over a 130 miles of hiking trails (no bicycles) with-in the Sam Houston National forest, just north of Houston. The trail runs from near Cleveland TX approaches close to Huntsville TX, and ends on the west side of Lake Conroe, west of Conroe TX. The list includes all of the parking areas and trail heads along with most of the trail crossings, creek crossings and road crossings.
