Austin Bat Observation at the Austin Statesman Newspaper
An area supplied by the Austin American Statesman paper to watch the bat habitat of Austin. It's the United States Largest bat population. The flights are usually great during July-September as the new pups are born. You can call Bat Hot Line: 512-416-5700 (Category 3636) for the bat flight information. Also, Parking is free at the statesman after 6pm. The observation deck is located over where they park the Newspaper trucks at the main South congress entrance. Right at the Bridge.
