Riba's camping/Coober Pedy
The only UNDERGROUND camping that I know of. Not very welcoming at first (in the middle of a mine field) but the family will make you feel at home.

Mount Cook Hermitage Resort
Fantastic views and it's almost worth the drive just to see the crazy toilets, they have no tap handles and the water comes out onto a marble slab.
